We asked

For young people in Elmbridge to share their views on what’s important to them growing up in Elmbridge, the support available for important issues and activities available in the borough.

You said

We received 74 responses to the survey. Some of the issues highlighted as important to young people were transport, finding things to do, getting advice about what to do after finishing school, being able to move out and live independently, and having enough money. Young people also gave us some really helpful feedback on the support available for these issues as well as on the activities they like to do or would like to be able to do in the borough.

We did

This survey was one of a number of engagement activities which are contributing to the development of a joint youth strategy for Elmbridge. The strategy is being developed by Elmbridge Borough Council and Surrey County Council in partnership with other organisations in the borough. Following on from the survey we will be running a number of focus groups with young people to get more detailed feedback on some of the issues in the survey.
