Part 1: Closure of Send CofE First School (Foundation)

Notice is given in accordance with The School Organisation (Establishment and Discontinuance of Schools) Regulations 2013 that the governing body of the Federation of Send Church of England Schools intends to discontinue Send CofE First School with effect from 31 August 2016.

Part 2: Prescribed alteration to St Bede's CofE Junior (Aided) School

Notice is given in accordance with The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulation 2013 that the governing body of the Federation of Send Church of England Schools intents to make a prescribed alteration to St Bede's CofE Junior (Aided) School with effect from 1 September 2016.

The prescribed alteration proposed is the alteration of the lower age limit.  The current age range of the school is 7-11.  It is proposed to alter the age range to 3-11 to create an all through primary school including a nursery.  It is also intended to increase the Year Reception published admission number from 58 to 60 from September 2017, and to remove the Year 3 published admission number in the same year, with children in Year 2 transitioning to Year 3 in the all-through primary school.
