Overview

We want to hear your views on, and experience of, Substance Misuse Services in Surrey from as many people as possible.

Any comments given are anonymous. Comments will be reviewed by Public Health and used to improve Substance Misuse services across Surrey.  

The vision of Public Health is to commission a 'wrap around' Substance Misuse service, which endeavours to continually look to improve outcomes for service users.

The aims of the service are to:

  • Encourage freedom from dependence on drugs and alcohol
  • Reduce substance misuse related offending
  • Improve mental and physical health and wellbeing, including social functioning and personal relationships
  • Reduce substance misuse within the community
  • Reduce substance related harm to service users/ offenders, public and others
  • Reduce substance misuse related deaths
  • Reduce blood borne viruses
  • Improve relationships with family members, partners and friends
  • Improve tenancy sustainability
  • Reduce substance misuse related homelessness
  • Prevent homelessness and sustain tenancies

Public Health wants to engage with

  • The local community, service users, carers and their representatives
  • The provider market
  • Partners in Surrey County Council*
  • Substance misuse providers in Surrey*
  • Public sector partners including CCGs, Districts & Borough Council’s, NHS England and PHE
  • Third sector partners

 

*We are encouraging agencies to have a number of staff complete the questionnaire ideally from a range of different roles.
