Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Amendments to Parking and Waiting Restrictions proposals in The Borough of Surrey Heath.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

Pembroke House, 148 Frimley Road, Camberley, GU15 2QN proposes the demolition of the existing building and erection of a four storey building to comprise flexible commercial floor space (Use Class A1/A2/A3/B1/D1/D2) at ground floor level and 25 residential apartments at part ground and upper levels. Highways works will include the removal of the existing bellmouth access into development site at Pembroke House and the footway/cycleway reinstated. The removal of the footway build-out and uncontrolled pedestrian crossing north of existing bellmouth access and the carriageway reinstated.

New parking/loading bays will be installed in front of development site. The location of the on-street parking bay as indicated has been assessed and agreed with Surrey County Councils Road Safety Audit team and Parking team.

The Environmental Improvement works in Deepcut is a highway improvement scheme on Deepcut Bridge Road. The purpose of the scheme is to improve conditions for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists and to provide an overall better quality built environment.

In relation to this Order, waiting restrictions will be implemented along Deepcut Bridge Road. The double yellow lines will start approximately 88 metres south-west of the northern junction where Brunswick Road meets Deepcut Bridge Road. These will extend approximately 61 metres north-easterly past the point where Fernleigh Rise meets Deepcut Bridge Road. The implementation of waiting restrictions will prevent parking on this stretch of road. The waiting restrictions will allow for a clear, unrestricted route through Deepcut Bridge Road, with clearly defined parking areas provided. The introduction of the waiting restrictions has been assessed and agreed with Surrey Police and Surrey County Councils Road Safety Audit team.
