Eastworth Road Chertsey - Puffin Crossing

Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Provision of a Puffin Pedestrian Crossing proposals in Eastworth Road, Chertsey. 

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

The new crossing will be located outside Tesco between the entry and exit points to the Tesco car park. The bus stand opposite will be removed as this is no longer required due to the longer existing bus stand slightly further to the west. The bus stop on the Tesco side will be moved slightly further to the east. The new crossing location will provide a safer, controlled location for pedestrians wishing to walk to/from the shops, bus stops and other nearby destinations.
