Fir Tree Road, Cedar Way and Cypress Road Guildford Traffic Calming Measures

Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Traffic Calming Measure proposals in Fir Tree Road, Cedar Way and Cypress Road Guildford. 

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

As part of the major Guildford Quality Bus Corridors project, improvements are being made to bus stops at various locations within Guildford Borough.

Works include: improving access to the stops to allow buses to pull in and line up with kerbs; adjusting kerb heights in order to reduce the level difference between the footway and the bus floor; installing, renewing or relocating bus shelters; installing live departure screens.

In order to improve accessibility for passengers and buses, Surrey County Council proposes modifications to some existing traffic calming at the following locations:

Fir Tree Road near Hazel Avenue

Fir Tree Road outside No. 67

Cypress Road near Fir Tree Road

Cedar Way near Fir Tree Road

Cypress Road near Berberis Close
