Overview

Thank you for your interest in our speed limit proposals on Giggs Hill, Thames Ditton.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

The proposed revised speed limit adjustment is to encourage lower vehicle speeds and reduce the severity of collisions by lowering the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph.

The documents are as follows: The scheme has been promoted by the locally elected member and complies with Surrey County Council’s Setting local speed limits policy.

Delegated approval to proceed with these proposals and the associated TRO has been received from the Highways Engagement & Commissioning Manager.
