Halfway Green, Walton- Waiting Restrictions
Overview
Thank you for your interest in our waiting restriction proposals on Halfway Green, Walton.
The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.
The proposal:
We are proposing to create a new double yellow line which will extending 7.3m from the current single yellow line’s termination point at the start of the parking bay on Halfway Green. This is to allow for visibility of a new ‘no entry’ carriageway marking which is planned at the location. The double yellow line will prevent vehicles parking in a position which will obstruct motorist’s views of the ‘no entry’ marking. The marking is to support the existing no entry sign and reduce the number of instances of motorists failing to comply with the no entry restriction leading to Hersham Road.
