Overview

Please refer to this page for background information about this consultation:
Parking news and updates in Runnymede - Surrey County Council

Thank you for taking part in our consultation.

Following several individual requests, we are now trying to find out what residents think about the idea of having a permit parking scheme in Albert Road, Alexandra Road, Armstrong Road, Barnway, Englefield Close, Englehurst, Greenacre Court, Harvest Road, Parsonage Road, South Road and Victoria Street in Englefield Green.

We would like to know if you think that a resident permit parking scheme would help improve the situation.

If there is a significant amount of non-resident parking during the day, then a permit scheme would help free up some space for residents.

In order to consider taking forward the proposal any further, we would like a majority of households to respond to this survey, with clear evidence that a strong majority are in favour, so please take just a few minutes of your time to fill in this consultation, by clicking on the Online Survey link below.

A report showing the results of this consultation will be presented to the March 2021 meeting of the Runnymede Joint Committee. If there is sufficient support shown then we would formally propose to introduce a permit scheme at that meeting. There would then be further public engagement and an opportunity to fine tune some of the details.

If there is strong support in some streets but not others, we can consider introducing a permit scheme in those streets that are in support only, if it is practical to do so.

Please note that we will not be looking at these responses in detail until after the deadline for making comments has passed, so please do not include questions or queries in your response.
