Shepperton Road Laleham Zebra Crossing
Overview
Thank you for your interest in our Zebra Crossing proposals in Shepperton Road, Laeham.
The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.
The proposal:
Surrey County Council are currently undertaking statutory consultation of changes to the pedestrian crossing facilities on Shepperton Road, Laleham. The proposal will result in the existing uncontrolled crossing immediately south of the junction with Vicarage Lane being changed to a Zebra crossing.
The changes form part of a scheme to improve pedestrian safety. The scheme was approved by Spelthorne Borough Council Planning Committee in February 2019 as one of the mitigation measures for the impact of the expansion of Shepperton Studios (Planning Application: 18/01212/OUT).
