Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Speed Limit proposals in Stoke Road Cobham, Stoke D'Abernon. 

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

The proposed speed limit adjustment on the A245 Stoke Road is to encourage lower vehicle speeds and reduce the severity of any collisions by lowering the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph. The scheme has been promoted by the Elmbridge Local Committee of elected members and complies with Surrey County Council’s Setting local speed limits policy.

Delegated approval to proceed with these proposals and the associated TRO has been received from the Highways Engagement & Commissioning Manager in July 2022.
