Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Traffic Calming proposals in Worple Road, Staines-Upon-Thames. 

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

In the interests of road safety/vehicle speed reduction and in order to improve road safety for children walking and cycling to Bucklands Primary School, it is proposed to introduce a raised table and an associated uncontrolled pedestrian crossing on the C244 Worple Road, Staines upon Thames.

At the Spelthorne Joint Committee meeting held on 23 March 2020, the Committee approved all three phases of this project relating to
