Surrey County County Council is launching POET (Personal Outcomes Evaluation Tool).

Children, young people, families and practitioners across Surrey are being asked to take part in a national evaluation pilot looking at the impact of specific parts of the new special educational needs and disability (SEND) reforms. These reforms require health, education and social care to plan and work together to meet the needs of children with SEND.

The programme is being led by the charity In Control with Lancaster University and is supported by the Department for Education.

We know we still have a lot of work to do to improve experiences for families in Surrey, so throughout October, November and December we would like to hear from you. Whether you are a child, young person, parent or practitioner please share your feedback on how the system could be improved by filling in the survey most relevant to you. The surveys are completely anonymous and the responses will be used to benchmark Surrey against other local authorities in England.
