Identifying veterans living in residential or nursing homes

Overview

Surrey County Council is a strong supporter of our Armed Forces community, and it is estimated that there are approximately 42,000 veterans and ex-service personnel, which includes those that did National Service, within the county.  We are asking for your help to understand how many veterans there are within residential and nursing homes.

This is to help us to support local veterans around key events and to record the life stories of some of our veterans.  We are in the process of applying for a grant from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund to support this work and would like your help to understand the numbers of veterans or their family member (e,g. spouse) in your care.

We would very much appreciate it if you could spare the time to complete this survey – some questions are optional if your residents are not happy to provide their personal details. Information being provided is confidential and will only be used for the purpose it has been gathered for as stated above.

Thank you for your support.
