Why we are consulting

We have a statutory duty to consult on admission arrangements if we intend to make a change.

The changes being proposed are as follows:

  1. Removal of priority for children who have the school as their 'nearest school' for the majority of community and voluntary controlled schools - so, for most schools, after siblings, priority will be based on straight line distance from the child’s home address to the school
  2. Beauclerc Infant School – proposal to introduce a sibling link between Beauclerc Infant School and Chennestone Primary School
  3. Horley Infant School – proposal to introduce a sibling link between Horley Infant School and Yattendon School
  4. Onslow Infant School - proposal to reduce the Published Admission Number for Reception from 90 to 60
