Overview

We are committed to providing the best possible service for children, young people and families. The Parent Carer Advisory Panel help us to improve our services so that all children in Surrey thrive and no one is left behind - especially those children who need extra support. 

The panel of parent carers have lived experience of using our services and have signed-up to take part in engagement and participation activities that help us to improve our services. 

What it involves: By signing up, you will occasionally receive invitations to: 

  • Participate in focus groups or workshops (online or in person) 
  • Complete surveys
  • Have short interviews with our researchers 
  • Co-produce new initiatives with our team 

There will be 1-2 invitations each month, but participation in each opportunity will be optional, and you can choose to engage when it fits in with you and based on your availability and interests. Each invitation will include more details about the opportunity to allow you to decide whether to get involved. You'll also have the chance for an informal chat with our Participation Lead.

Data and Privacy Notice:  We will need to ask for your personal data in order to invite you to become part of the Parent Carer Advisory Panel and so that you can take part in the Panel's activities.  We will only use the data for the agreed purposes which are set out in our privacy notice here.  Contact us for a printed copy of the policy.
