Schools Easter Holiday Provision
Overview
Further to the DfE requirement for schools “wherever possible to maintain provision for children of workers critical to the Covid-19 response and vulnerable children over the Easter holidays” the council need to understand the arrangements schools are making. Many of you completed the earlier survey but as a result of recent guidance from DfE it would be very helpful if you could update your details on this new survey.
We are asking for this information for the following reasons:
- to identify schools that are planning to close
- understand the gap between planned provision and critical workers/vulnerable children needs
- be reassured that if a school is not open schools have made arrangements for vulnerable children/critical worker children to attend another setting
- understand geographical spread
We are also able to offer some outreach provision to individual schools/clusters of schools from Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development, Surrey Arts and Surrey Heritage. We will provide details of this offer to schools tomorrow morning.
