D3282 High Street, Staines Upon Thames (Prohibition of Entry) Pedestrianisation
Overview
Thank you for your interest in our Pedestrianisation proposals on the D3282 High Street, Staines Upon Thames.
The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.
The proposal:
It is proposed to install manually operated barriers to prohibit any vehicular access onto the High Street between the hours of 9:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Saturday and all-day Sundays. Deliveries will still be permitted between 5:00pm and 9:30am. The former exceptions for access at any time for cash delivery and permit holders is proposed to be revoked. This is due to there no longer being a permit holder system and ample time for cash deliveries within the hours of delivery.
