Holly Lane, Banstead Traffic Calming Measures Proposal

Overview

Thank you for your interest in our traffic calming measures proposals in Holly Lane, Banstead.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

It is proposed to provide traffic calming facilities on Holly Lane and Court Road Banstead.  The traffic calming facilities will be a raised junction table, four road tables, a road narrowing with an uncontrolled crossing facility and other uncontrolled crossing points to aid school children, parents and local residents.

The scheme has been progressed in response to parents/carers raising concerns regarding road safety outside St. Anne’s Primary School in 2019. Following a Road Safety Outside Schools meeting a number of possible improvements to improve pedestrian facilities and reduce vehicle speeds were identified, as set out within the Road Safety Outside Schools Report.
