Thank you for your interest in our 20mph speed limit proposals in Park Avenue, Staines.

At the request of the local county councillor, Surrey County Council is proposing to reduce the speed limit on Park Avenue, Staines from 30mph to 20mph. This is part of our continuing commitment to improve road safety and encourage walking and cycling near to schools and in residential areas. 

We have undertaken speed surveys along the road and speeds are suitable for a 20mph limit using signs alone. No traffic calming is necessary.
