Overview
Thank you for your interest in our Speed Limit proposals in Sandy Lane, Cobham.
The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.
The proposal:
The proposed speed limit adjustment on the D6851 Sandy Lane is to encourage slower vehicle speeds and reduce the severity of any collisions by lowering the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph. The scheme has been promoted by the locally elected member and complies with Surrey County Council’s Setting local speed limits policy.
Delegated approval to proceed with these proposals and the associated TRO has been received from the Highways Engagement & Commissioning Manager on 26 October 2022.
