The work will take place from 23 September for approximately 4 weeks (excluding weekends) from 8pm – 6am. The works will NOT take place on the following dates:
- 26 – 30 September
- 4 – 7 October
We will make sure that local people will be able to get to and from their house or business when it is safe to do so. Please talk to a member of our staff on site if you need help – they are keen to deliver the work with minimal disruption to you. It is essential to keep the road free from parked vehicles to enable the work to proceed as planned. The work is weather dependant and can be delayed by bad weather or other factors. Please look at our information boards on site for date changes.
Working overnight is necessary on traffic sensitive roads to reduce disruption during peak times. It also enables longer uninterrupted working before the closure is lifted for daytime traffic, and results in a shorter period of traffic congestion. There will be some noise, but we will try to carry out the bulk of the noisiest works before midnight. We thank you for your patience while we carry out these works and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
