Overview

Thank you for your interest in our traffic calming measure proposals in Whyteleafe Road, Cateram

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

Further to the new residential development in Whyteleafe Road, Caterham, it is proposed to implement new traffic calming measures to mitigate the impact of the additional traffic generated by the development. The existing traffic calming features on Whyteleafe Road will be extended from Cedar Park to just beyond the site access at 176 Whyteleafe Road to further reduce speeds and improve safety. The extension to the existing traffic calming will comprise 3 additional sets of speed cushions and a raised table approximately in the vicinity of 176 Whyteleafe Road.
