Woking Traffic Regulations
Overview
Thank you for your interest in our Traffic Regulation Proposals in Woking.
The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.
The proposal:
Surrey County Council in exercise of their powers under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above mentioned Order. The effect of which is that: –
- Traffic proceeding in southbound direction on that length of Victoria Way at its junction with Forge End, shall be prohibited from making a U-Turn, so as to face or proceed in the opposite direction;
- Traffic proceeding in a northbound direction on that length of Victoria Way A320 Woking at its junction with Church Street West, shall be prohibited from making a U-Turn, so as to face or proceed in the opposite direction.
- Traffic proceeding in Church Street West D7281 Woking shall be prohibited from making a left turn into Victoria Way.
- All vehicles proceeding in Goldsworth Road D7244 Woking as extends westwards from its junction with Victoria Way to the entry to the turning loop in the said road shall do so only in a westerly direction.
