Notice of Tree Removal at Chessington Road, Ewell, KT19 9GG

Overview

Surrey County Council is consulting on the removal of this tree. This consultation is being carried out under the Environment Act 2021 and Highways Act 1980. 

The tree is proposed to be felled in order to install a signalised crossing to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.  The tree affects visibility to the location as well as the footway surface.  Options to install a crossing without removing the tree have been considered but are not feasible within the existing highway constraints.
