Surrey CRMP Consultation

Closes 6 Sep 2024

Opened 7 May 2024

Overview

Due to the General Election the CRMP Consultation was paused between midnight on Monday 27th May (2024) until midnight Thursday 4th July (2024). Resident feedback and responses were not accepted during this period.

The consultation has now reopened with effect Friday 5th July (2024) and has an extended closing date of Friday 6th September (2024). This is to ensure Surrey's residents, employees, and business owners have a full three-month consultation period to share their views and feedback.

If you are a current SFRS employee you can complete either the 'public' or 'staff' version of the CRMP Consultation survey, but please submit only one response.

New engagement sessions have been scheduled - details below.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is asking residents for their feedback on their proposed changes which will form part of the Community Risk Management Plan 2025/30.

The plan sets out changes that SFRS would like to make to keep people safe and ensure an efficient and effective service for communities. Three draft proposals, outlining seven changes, have been drafted and it’s time for those who live in, work in, travel through or visit Surrey to have their say.

The proposals have been created using feedback from staff and residents, as well as historical and forecasted emergency data and risk information.

The seven changes aim to prevent emergencies, align to current and emerging risks and ensure we can respond if needed, with the right kit and knowledge.

These proposals, if approved, would result in no change to Surrey Fire and Rescue Service’s (SFRS) budget, assigned to the service by the Fire and Rescue Authority in 2024/25. More information on SFRS and Surrey County Council’s (SCC) budget for 2024/25 can be found on SCC’s website (this link will open in a new window).
