Surrey School Travel Survey

Closed 18 Dec 2020

Opened 20 Nov 2020

Thank you for taking the time to fill in this survey. This survey aims to understand the travel patterns of school pupils in years 7-13. Please fill in one survey per child in your household.

All responses are strictly confidential and your data will be used in-line with our data protection policy which can be found here

Why we are consulting

Roads in the immediate vicinity to schools are particularly busy at drop-off and pick-up times. There is usually a high concentration of vehicles, pedestrians and cycle activity which can cause frustration.

Surrey County Council’s Safer Travel Team would like to encourage more walking and cycling to school. This is better for children’s health and wellbeing, reducing congestion and improving the environment. However, there are potential issues with walking or cycling to school that the Safer Travel Team would like to understand in more detail from respondents to this survey.

Your feedback will be vital in telling us what our priorities should be when we consider how to improve the roads around schools, and how we encourage walking and cycling.
