Overview

The Governing Body of Sythwood Primary School, in partnership with Surrey County Council, is proposing that the school expands from a 2 form entry primary school with a Published Admission Number of 60 (total capacity of 420 pupils), to a 3 form entry primary school with a Published Admission Number of 90 (total capacity of 630 pupils).

Why We Are Consulting

There is a currently a significant pressure on primary school places in Woking. Many primary schools have already expanded but further provision is needed to meet the demand for school places in Woking.

The Governing Body of Sythwood Primary School are undertaking a consultation on the proposals for the school to expand and would like to hear the views of all interested parties.

The Related Documents below contain more information about the proposals and the reasons for them.

Please let us know what you think about the proposals:

- By attending a public consultation meeting on 18 June 2014 at Sythwood Primary School at 7pm in the school hall.

- by completing the Online Survey

- or by completing the response form in the Related Documents below.

The deadline for returning/submitting consultation responses is 5pm on 9 July 2014.

What Happens Next

Governors at the school will consider the responses to the consultation and will make a decision about whether to proceed with the proposal before the summer holidays. This decision will be communicated to parents in the last school newsletter of the academic year. It should be noted that any decision from the Governors remains subject to a detailed feasibility study being prepared to demonstrate how the additional accommodation could be created on the school site, and remains subject to funding and planning approvals from Surrey County Council.
