We did

We will now approach the Cabinet Member for approval of the proposal to expand Woodfield Secondary School from September 2021.

Overview

Surrey County Council is proposing that Woodfield Secondary School is expanded to provide an additional 60 places for children who have Moderate Learning Difficulties, known locally in Surrey as Learning and Additional Needs (LAN), and who require a specialist school placement.

The expansion will enable Surrey County Council to offer more secondary children and their families local, high-quality specialist provision. It will aid in meeting the increased demand for specialist placements for children with Learning and Additional needs. These changes would come into effect from September 2021.

Some works would be undertaken on Woodfield Secondary School's site to increase the capacity to accommodate the additional pupils.

A virtual public meeting was held on 26th January 2021.
