Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Speed Limit proposals in East Street, Bookham. 

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

Surrey County Council is proposing to reduce the speed limit on East Street, from 30mph to 20mph. This proposal is in response to concerns raised by residents and your County Councillor regarding vehicle speeds and safety on this road.

Funding has now been identified for the reduction in speed limit on East Street, Bookham using your county councillor, Clare Curran’s, member fund. Below is a plan showing the extent of the proposed new 20mph limit.
