Overview

Thank you for your interest in our Speed Limit Proposals in Long Ditton and Thames Ditton.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

Surrey County Council Propose to make the above named Order, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a 20 mph speed limit zone on the lengths of the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The speed limits proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.
