Park Avenue, Staines Upon Thames- Speed Reduction Proposals

Overview

Thank you for your interest in our speed reduction proposals on Park Avenue.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

Reduction of speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on Park Avenue, Staines. Park Avenue is a short length of residential road which has the 2 primary schools located at one end, there is also sheltered housing accommodation on the road so a higher than usual volume of more vulnerable highway users are expected to be using the road. A 20mph limit is deemed to be suitable given the context of the road and will help support road safety
