The Triangle and Birch Close parking consultation

Overview

Thank you for your interest in our informal parking consultation.

Having received some individual requests and a small petition we are asking if you would be in favour of The Triangle and Birch Close joining existing Area 5 of the Woking Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ).

Area 5 of the Woking CPZ operates from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.30 and 11.30am. If the zone was extended it would mean only vehicles with a valid residents, visitor, carer or child care permit for Area 5 would be able to park on the street during those two hours each week day. This restriction would prevent parking by non permit holders from occupying the road space, so giving residents priority. 

Once the consultation has closed we will analyse the feedback received. If there are a significant number of objections to the idea or a very low response rate, we will not proceed further with the proposal. 

If there is a good response rate with more than 70% of residents in support, we will then formally advertise our intention to extend Area 5 of the CPZ into these two streets, when formally advertsing the Woking parking review 2024 later this year. At that time you will have the opportunity to comment again on the final plans.

Please note that we will not be looking at these responses in detail until after the deadline for making comments has passed, so please do not include questions or queries in your response.
