All Age Autism Strategy Framework
Overview
This draft strategy has been brought together by autistic people and family carers together with professionals from across Surrey’s service system, to make it clear what our joint ambitions are around autism.
We held a consultation last year and got a lot of input from people in Surrey. We have tried to make this strategy reflect what people told us were the most important things that need to change. Once the strategy is finalised, we will develop workstreams to deliver change in each of the priority areas we have outlined here.
We would now like to get your views on whether we have captured the right ambitions, and the most important priority areas to be included as workstreams in the Surrey five-year All Age Autism Strategy.
Throughout the document we refer to autistic children, young people and adults as 'autistic people'.
We have attached accessible formats of the survey at the bottom of this page under 'Related Documents' however if you require an easy read version we would recommend requesting a hard copy. This can be obtained by contacting: contactcentre.adminhub@surreycc.gov.uk.
If you would like to respond to the consultation via an alternative method, you can do so using the below numbers:
Textphone (via Text Relay): 18001 0300 200 1005
SMS: 07527 182 861 (for the deaf or hard of hearing)
What happens next
The final version of this strategy will be published on 1st April 2021, once it has gone through the relevant decision-making processes across Surrey.
The completed Surrey All Age Autism Strategy with attached delivery plans and timescales for each workstream will be published on 1st July.
