Thank you for your interest in our zebra crossing proposals on Church Road, Molesey.

The legislation we must follow before introducing this scheme means that we need to allow objections and comments from the public to be considered before a final decision is reached about whether or not to go ahead with our preferred scheme in its current form.

The proposal:

This proposal is to install a new Zebra Crossing onto a raised table on Church Road near to its junction with Vine Road to enhance the existing pedestrian route in the area and improve pedestrian safety to residents and school users of St. Lawrence School.

To provide alternative and healthier options to cars for local travel especially to local schools.

The proposed Zebra Crossing will upgrade the pedestrian facilities and improve the safety of crossing on Church Road in the vicinity of St. Lawrence School. The safety of pedestrians will be improved by encouraging the drivers to reduce their vehicular speed further when crossing over the raised table. The new levels will also provide a milder gradient for the crossing users, and it will be beneficial for the visually/mobility impaired
