Send and St Bede's Amalgamation
Overview
The governors of the Federation of Send Church of England Schools believe that the best way to provide outstanding education is by merging the two existing schools - Send CofE First School and St Bede's CofE Junior School - to become one single primary school catering for all children from ages 4 to 11.
The nursery is unaffected by this proposal.
The Governing Body would like to seek your views on merging the two schools to become Send Church of England Primary School - a single, full primary school - with effect from 1 September 2016. The schools would retain their voluntary aided (VA) status and maintain close links with the Diocese of Guildford.
A public meeting is planned in the school hall at Send CofE First School on Thursday 7 January from 4-5pm and all are welcome to attend.
